Cognac Roullet, time and passion..... Settled in Jarnac as a wine and cognac marchant, Paul Roullet on july 5 1772 aquired nearly land and in 1789 additionad land known as “Plantier du goulet” destined to become “ The Roullet Estate”, which was then planted with vineyards. From this period onwards, this is where the Roullet family harvest, distill and age their cognac.
The cognac of Napoleon... In 1791, two years after the fall of the “Bastille”, Paul Frédéric received a new licenece to distill: Roullet was recognised by the républic, then by Napoléon, to become the official supplier to the armes. In 1783 they began to sell their cognac in Paris, in bottles under their name, which was unique at that time, and still remains their guarantee of quality.
Know-how transmition Generations of Roullet followed in association for a while with their cousins Delamain. In 1950 the tradition was transmitted to Serge Roullet who was joined in 1995 by his son, Mathias Paul, the 9th generation, who maintain this tradition and savoir faire.
